On June 16 at the Presidential Palace, President Andrzej Duda presented nomination acts to academic teachers and researchers in the fields of science and arts. Among the recipients were: Prof. Urszula Ambroziak and Prof. Mariusz Tomaniak.

The Convention of Chancellors and Bursars of the Medical Universities, organized by the Medical University of Warsaw, was held on June 11-13, 2025. The event brought together representatives of the administration of medical universities from all over Poland and became an important forum for exchanging experiences and discussing the financing and development of medical education.

Cancer is the second-leading cause of death among Poles. MUW and NCI are strengthening their cooperation. The Institute and the University have expertise and practical experience with cancer, which is a huge therapeutic and humanitarian problem today. They also share a common understanding that an important factor in prevention and treatment is the training of future medical personnel at the highest available level.

The meeting was an opportunity to exchange experiences and good practices in the management of university administration. The participants of the meeting also had the opportunity to see the Medical Simulation Center as well as take part in a discussion on the impact of universities on the quality of life of Warsaw residents.

The student scholarships for significant achievements for the 2024/2025 academic year were awarded to 48 students from nine medical universities in the country. Among the winners are ten students from MUW. The diplomas and congratulations were presented to the scholarship recipients by Health Minister Izabela Leszczyna at a gala ceremony.

For several hours, the parking lot in front of the WUM Didactic Center pulsed with vibrant colors, flavors, and sounds. In the multicultural village, organized for the third time by our international students, members of the WUM academic community and Warsaw residents gathered to celebrate diversity together.

The results of the Center for World University Rankings 2025 have been announced. MUW, with a score of 71.1 points, was ranked 916th in the world rankings. Among domestic universities, MUW again ranked a high 9th, and 2nd among medical universities. The position in the ranking is not only a source of pride, but also proof of the highest quality of education offered by our university.

The auditorium of the MUW Didactic Center was filled with members of the University’s rectoral and dean’s authorities, as well as our researchers and scientists. Polish and international students at the Medical University of Warsaw turned out in large numbers to attend the lecture, along with groups from high schools affiliated with MUW.

Professor Michał Grąt and Professor Dominika Nowis have been appointed by the Minister of Health to serve on the Council of the Medical Research Agency (ABM). Their term of office will last six years.
The graduation ceremony takes place in a large, brightly lit auditorium. They have every reason to be proud: over five and a half years ago, they chose to pursue a profession of great importance, and now they have successfully completed a demanding course of study. “I congratulate each of you not only on earning your Master of Pharmacy degree but also on joining the ranks of professionals whom society can rely on in one of the most vital areas of human life – health,” emphasized Professor Dorota Olczak-Kowalczyk, Vice-Rector for Human Resources and Organizational Affairs, during the formal graduation ceremony.
