The scholarships of the Minister of Health distributed: our students among the best

The student scholarships for significant achievements for the 2024/2025 academic year were awarded to 48 students from nine medical universities in the country. Among the winners are ten students from MUW. The diplomas and congratulations were presented to the scholarship recipients by Health Minister Izabela Leszczyna at a gala ceremony.

The scholarships are awarded to students who demonstrate significant academic achievements related to their studies or significant athletic achievements. The ministry received 110 applications for scholarships for the 2024/2025 academic year, of which 48 were selected. 47 scholarships were awarded for significant academic achievements, and one for significant sports achievements.

The gala event

The graduation ceremony was held on June 7. The ceremony was attended by the rectors of the medical universities. Our students were accompanied by Prof. Rafal Krenke.

- I am happy to recognize the best of the best today. You are the elite at your universities, I wish you to become the elite in your future careers as well, to always be the best. What does it mean to be the best doctor, scientist, researcher? The best is one for whom the primary criterion is the welfare of the patient - said Health Minister Izabela Leszczyna.

- I congratulate you a lot. You are the ones who will conduct research, develop scientifically, get PhDs, gain experience and use it for all of us - added Deputy Minister Ursula Demkow.

In addition to students from MUW, awards were given to students from the following universities: Medical University of Lodz (12 scholarship holders), Medical University of Lublin (8 scholarship holders), Medical University of Wroclaw (5 scholarship holders), Medical University of Silesia in Katowice (4 scholarship holders), Medical University of Gdańsk (3 scholarship holders), Poznan University of Medical Sciences (3 scholarship holders), Medical University of Bialystok (2 scholarship holders), Pomeranian Medical University of Szczecin (1 scholarship holder).
