12 MUW students with scholarships from the Minister of Health
As he does every year, the Minister awarded medical students for significant academic or sports achievements. The scholarships were awarded to 47 people from nine universities. Among the awarded, the largest number, 12, is from MUW

The ceremony took place on April 27 this year in Kiev. Prof. Mariusz Gujski, Dean of the Faculty of Health Sciences MUW, received an honorary doctorate degree. This is the highest honor in the academic world.

These were discussed by experts at the conference "Modern medical education as a response to the health needs of society." The event was organized by the Conference of Rectors of Academic Medical Universities (KRAUM).

During the three days of the congress, more than 500 participants expanded their knowledge and skills in biomedical sciences. The highlight of the event was the thematic sessions, where young scientists presented their research achievements before a jury of high-level professionals and the WIMC audience. It was very interesting and inspiring.

On April 18, the conference room of the Children's Clinical Hospital UCC MUW was filled to the brim with young patients and their parents. The Academic Magic Theater performed before them the popular "Little Red Riding Hood." This was the first post-pandemic performance prepared with children in mind. There were plenty of positive emotions, and the performance ended with thunderous applause.

At the initiative of the Ministry of Health, nursing students at our university had the opportunity to talk with Piotr Bromber, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Health, and Edyta Gadomska, Deputy Director of the Department of Medical Personnel Development at the Ministry of Health. The topic of the discussion was the competence of nursing staff in light of new legal and organizational regulations.

The third edition of the competition under the "Student Scientific Circles Create Innovations" program has been decided. The Minister of Education and Science recognized as many as nine projects from our university. The total amount of funding is PLN 627,790.

The Medical Research Agency has published the ranking list of the competition for head-to-head research for non-commercial clinical trials or research experiments. Among the 27 projects recommended for funding, three were prepared by researchers from MUW. The projects concern the treatment of C. difficile infections, the fight against antibiotic-resistant infections, and methods for achieving liver parenchymal hypertrophy in patients qualified for partial resection of the organ.
