They were performed by cardiologists from UCC MUW in patients with atrial fibrillation. The innovative PFA technology shortens the procedure time and reduces the risk of complications.
MUW community for WOŚP - let's win together against sepsis
The 31st Finale of the Great Orchestra of Christmas Charity will take place on Sunday, January 29. This time, the Orchestra wants to win against sepsis, and with the money raised equip hospitals with equipment to speed up the diagnosis of infections. State-of-the-art, comprehensive endovascular treatment of aortic arch disease
Specialists from the Central Clinical Hospital UCC MUW have performed a series of innovative procedures on patients with aortic arch disease. They used a state-of-the-art stent graft with branches to all vessels branching from the aortic arch. This is an opportunity for minimally invasive treatment of the most difficult patients.
The Department of Cardiology celebrates 70 years of operation
The development of cardiology in Poland is well illustrated in the history of the 1st Department of Cardiology MUW.- Our center is one of the best in the country, both in terms of scientific standing, as well as in terms of treatment and diagnostics - stressed Professor Marcin Grabowski, head of the department and host of this year's anniversary.

WUM is a leader in live donor kidney transplants
In the Chair and Department of General and Transplant Surgery UCC MUW, as many as 121 kidney transplants were performed in 2022, of which 30 (25%) were based on the procurement of an organ from a living donor. 73 transplants relying on so-called "family transplants" were carried out nationwide, a record in recent years.
