The year 2022 at MUW

It was a difficult year, but we are happy to say that our university met the challenges set before it.

Among the unquestionable successes of MUW is the wonderful attitude shown by students and university staff in the face of the war in Ukraine. The collection of food, hygiene items, medicines, organization of places in dormitories, training for doctors and paramedics from Ukraine - these are just some of the actions we had taken as an academic community. We showed what goodness and selflessness are. Certainly, we have not forgotten our overarching goals: top-quality education and innovative research. Our success can be evidenced by numbers - last year more than 2,000 well-educated graduates left the walls of our university, while 3,000 high school graduates began their studies. We have won grants for the implementation of dozens of research projects, which, we are convinced, will in the future contribute to the development of medicine not only in Poland, but also worldwide. Our specialists have also performed many pioneering procedures, including the first liver transplantation in Poland using prior perfusion under normothermia. The university's staff and students have also received many prestigious awards and prizes.

We encourage you to take a look at the summary of 2022, although this is only a fraction of what happened!
