MDW
It begins with two very interesting interviews. The first with Dr. Longin Niemczyk, secretary of the University Recruitment Committee, which was conducted by Prof. Dagmara Mirowska-Guzel, editor-in-chief of MDE. The second with Agata Andrzejczyk, chairwoman of the Main Board of the Student Government MUW, interviewed by Anna Staniszewska and Marta Ewa Wojtach.
Diploma renewal ceremony after 50 years
On Friday, May 19, doctors and dentists who left the walls of our Alma Mater in 1973 celebrated the 50th anniversary of receiving their diplomas at the Teaching Center MUW. The ceremony was not only a recognition of their professional work for the benefit of patients, but also an opportunity to renew their sense of community with the university. The event was hosted by the dean's office of the Faculty of Medicine.

Prof. Mykola Rozhko - the Rector of the National Medical University of Ivano-Frankivsk - visited the Children's Clinical Hospital UCC MUW, the Medical Simulation Center, the Cardiac Surgery Clinic UCC MUW and the University Dental Center. The visitor also met with Rector of MUW Prof. Zbigniew Gaciong.
More than 6 million in funding from the National Science Center will go to MUW
The Center has announced the results of the OPUS 24 and SONATA 18 competitions. The list of funded projects includes four whose authors are scientists from our university. They will receive a total of PLN 6,560,957 from NSC. A project in which MUW is a consortium member was also recommended for funding.
Minister of Health awards ceremonially presented.
Our scientists have just received the Minister of Health Awards for 2022. The diplomas were presented by Piotr Bromber, Undersecretary of State.
Festival of Possibilities at MUW
The participants of the Festival of Possibilities at MUW, which took place on Tuesday, May 16, at the Didactic Center MUW, were able to find out how many career prospects await graduates of medical, pharmaceutical and health sciences fields. Representatives from dozens of companies and institutions awaited our students. The events were organized by the MUW's Career Office and the IFMSA-Poland Warsaw Branch.
The Night of Museums at MUW is behind us
It's been a long time since the Museum of the History of Medicine had so many visitors at a time. Several thousand people visited us on Saturday night.

The Center for World University Rankings has just released this year's list of the world's top 2,000 universities. For another consecutive year, MUW was ranked highest among national medical universities. It also once again ranked 9th in the ranking of national universities. Our university scored an advance in the overall world ranking - with a score of 71.1 it was ranked 896th, thus improving its last year's result by 21 positions. This places MUW among the top 4.4 percent of the best universities in the world!
Run for New Life, i.e. support for transplantology
The 22nd Run for New Life is now behind us. The initiative supports national transplantation and spreads the idea of conscious organ donation. The relay teams were made up of transplant recipients: young people, journalists, athletes, actors and representatives of transplant medicine. The latter group could not miss specialists from our university.

The Rectors of the two universities have signed an agreement on the creation of a new field of study: health care management. It will be a two-year master's degree program run jointly by SGH and MUW.
