New logotypes of the faculties

Modern, stylistically consistent with the university's emblem and logotype, adapted to the needs of marketing and promotion on modern media. MUW's faculties have gained a new visual identity, which came into effect with the signing of the second part of the MUW Brand Book by Rector Zbigniew Gaciong.

The new Brand Book shows the possibilities and describes the rules for the correct use of the faculties’ signs.

Bowl Motif
The signet of each faculty is based on the motif of the bowl of Hygieia and the snake of Aesculapius, symbols that have been associated with medicine for centuries.

Plant elements
Each faculty also has its own pictogram of a tree leaf. The Faculty of Medicine – that’s an oak, which symbolizes longevity and perseverance, the Faculty of Dental Medicine - a noble laurel, symbolizes wisdom and has medicinal effects, the Faculty of Pharmacy - a linden, commonly used in medicine and pharmacy, the Faculty of Health Sciences - a beech, a noble tree, which was also attributed with medicinal effects.
Plant elements complement the ceremonial signs of the faculties. The star motif accompanying the signet refers to the university's emblem.

The Faculty Brand Book is available on the university's intranet and website.
