Our university is among four Polish institutions participating in the prestigious Joint Action on Personalized Cancer Medicine (JA PCM) program. The project is carried out by clinical institutions and academic centers from 28 European Union countries between 2025 and 2029. Its main goal is to improve access to personalized cancer care in Europe and to promote knowledge of precision oncology.

Our university, as one of only seven Polish higher education institutions, was included in the ranking for “Medicine”. We achieved a solid position in the 451–500 range.

The rankings of scientific leaders of WUM (200 items) and young scientific leaders of WUM (105 items) are already available. They were prepared for the activities in the years 2022-2025 and, in case of departments, for the academic year 2024/2025.

Specialists from the Second Department of Clinical Radiology at the Central Clinical Hospital of the University Clinical Center of the Medical University of Warsaw (CSK UCK WUM) performed the first endovascular brain aneurysm procedure in Poland using the innovative eCLIPs device. The patient is in good condition and remains under medical supervision while awaiting a scheduled follow-up examination.

This year’s Open Day attracted around 2,500 visitors and featured over 50 stands staffed by 350 students, 3 lectures in the auditorium, and 8 workshop sessions, attended by 350 participants. The event took place on March 21 at our university.
Tribute to distinguished scholars of the Faculty of Pharmacy
As part of the celebration marking the 100th anniversary of the Faculty of Pharmacy, a bust of Prof. Stanisław Biniecki – an outstanding pharmacist and developer of groundbreaking medications, a researcher at our university for years – was unveiled in the faculty building. Seminar rooms were also officially named after the faculty's senior members and a mural commemorating the most important moments of the faculty history was unveiled.

The International Educational Fair is an event supporting primary and secondary school students in choosing their educational paths. This year's edition was held on 13 and 14 March at the Expo XXI and attracted crowds of students, parents and teachers. Traditionally, our university participated in the event. We talked to many young people dreaming of medical studies, advising on what to do to make those dreams come true.

Prof. Victor Ambros, a molecular biologist and one of the most outstanding contemporary researchers of gene regulation mechanisms, participated in the conference "Science. Patients. Therapies." organized at our university. The event was devoted to rare diseases. It was organized by AGO Alliance Poland foundation, which supports the development of therapy for people affected by the very rare AGO syndrome, together with the Institute of Molecular Mechanisms and Machines of the Polish Academy of Sciences (IMoL PAN).
