At the Children’s Clinical Hospital of the University Clinical Center of the Medical University of Warsaw (UCK WUM), a team led by Dr. Michał Buczyński performed an exceptionally rare and complex heart autotransplantation procedure on an infant. It is one of the most advanced procedures used in modern pediatric cardiac surgery and is performed only in carefully selected clinical cases.
