The letter concerns cooperation aimed at establishing a joint doctoral school. The school will provide high-quality education across four tracks: medical sciences, pharmaceutical sciences, health sciences, and an international track. It is intended to enable the implementation of innovative research projects.
The cooperation concerns ensuring safety and countering threats on the premises of our university. On Friday, January 9, the agreement was signed by Prof. Marek Kuch, Vice Rector for Student Affairs and Education, and Junior Inspector Karol Wojtyła, Deputy Commander of the Police Central Counterterrorism Unit BOA.
On 7 January 2026 the President of the Republic of Poland handed professorial nominations. The group of academic teachers and employees of science and art who received nominations from Karol Nawrocki on that day included: Prof. Joanna Brydak-Godowska, Prof. Anna Klimkiewicz, Prof. Paweł Łęgosz, Prof. Małgorzata Mizerska-Wasiak, Prof. Anna Staniszewska, and Prof. Aleksandra Wesołowska.
The renovation and furnishing of the commissioned rooms cost almost PLN 24 million. The ribbon-cutting ceremony was performed by Prof. Rafał Krenke, the Rector of MUW, Marzena Kowalczyk, the Director of UCC MUW and Prof. Adam Przybyłkowski, the Head of the Department.
As part of the next call for applications for a scholarship of His Magnificence the Rector of the Medical University of Warsaw for young scientists, a total of 15 employees received the awards. The scholarships were awarded for achievements and involvement in scientific activities, both for publications and projects.
Today, the Rector, Prof. Rafał Krenke, was visited by students from IFMSA-Poland, Warsaw Branch: Martyna Gawrych and Jakub Kukla, who brought a gingerbread house and expressed cordial wishes to the Rector on the occasion of the upcoming holidays. The students also thanked for the previous cooperation.
