Established in 1992, the Association of the Alumni of Warsaw Medicine and Pharmacy brings together graduates of the former Medical Academy in Warsaw, today’s the Medical University of Warsaw.
The primary aim of the Association is to integrate all graduates - resident at home and abroad - with their Alma Mater and to maintain contacts, exchange professional, scientific and organisational experiences.
The members of the association also collect and disseminate information about individual educators, alumni and the university itself, and take care of the memorials dedicated to them. An important aspect of the Association's activities is also to undertake activities to further the development of the Medical University of Warsaw.
The Association organises occasional meetings of particular year groups to commemorate the 50th and 60th graduation anniversaries, as well as historical-scientific sessions devoted to the profiles of distinguished professors of Warsaw medicine and pharmacy, including Prof. Franciszek Czubalski, Prof. Ludwik Paszkiewicz, Prof. Ireneusz Roszkowski and Prof. Wiktor Grzywo-Dąbrowski.
