Cancer in 2026: From Diagnosis to Reconstruction is a multidisciplinary scientific conference tracing the full clinical journey of a cancer patient — from molecular diagnostics and personalised medicine, through cardiooncology, dermato-oncology, immunotherapy (including CAR-T cell therapy), breast oncology, and plastic and reconstructive surgery following oncological treatment.
The conference is educational and non-profit. Its defining feature is the integration of knowledge across clinical oncology subspecialties, with particular attention to the multidisciplinary management of the cancer patient - connecting diagnostics, systemic treatment, cardio-oncological follow-up, dermatological complications,
haematological innovation, and surgical reconstruction into a coherent patient-centred narrative.
The event promotes scientific activity among medical students and emphasises the importance of a multidisciplinary approach to oncological care. It is organised independently by a 4th-year medical student at WUM, under the auspices of STN and institutional patronage from the Rector, Vice-Rector, Dean, and leading
Polish medical societies.
