Portraits of Polish Medicine is a prestigious competition organized by the magazine and portal Rynek Zdrowia. Among the winners of this year's edition was a team from the University Clinical Center MUW, which was recognized for performing the world's first assisted liver transplant, in a patient after an organ injury suffered in a traffic accident.
CMUW specialists are co-founders of new specialization for laboratory diagnosticians
We are talking about the specialization in medical laboratory parasitology, which in October 2024 received a positive evaluation from the Polish Accreditation Commission and approval from the Ministry of Health. Among the experts responsible for developing the basic and supplementary program of the specialization are Rusłan Sałamatin, MD, PhD, from the Department of General Biology and Parasitology MUW, and Agnieszka Pawełczyk, PhD in Biology, from the Department of Immunopathology of Infectious and Parasitic Diseases MUW.
Universities of the future - MUW one of 12 universities in Poland implementing an innovative educational project
The changing labor market requires universities to take a new approach to education. The “Universities of the Future” project, which aims to prepare universities to meet new challenges, has just begun.
