Mateusz Zawadka, MD, PhD, from the 2nd Department of Anesthesiology and Intensive Care will represent the Polish community, support cooperation between national and European centers and participate in shaping the scientific and educational policy of the European Society of Intensive Care Medicine (ESICM).
ESICM is the largest European society dedicated to intensive care. It advances knowledge in this field and ensures the highest quality of care for patients and their families. It brings together specialists from around the world.
Mateusz Zawadka, MD, PhD, has been actively cooperating with the ESICM for many years. He has already served as an expert in the GenIUS (General Intensive Care Ultrasound) certification path and in the ESICM international training program on ultrasound in intensive care. He is also an examiner of the European Diploma in Intensive Care (EDIC). Moreover, he organized a training for participants of the GenIUS program, which was held at the WUM in 2025.
