Our contribution to WOŚP: over PLN 82,000 | Medical University of Warsaw

We collected exactly PLN 82,584.56. We achieved this impressive total thanks to people with big hearts who supported our campaign “The WUM community for WOŚP.” They bid in auctions, donated through the e-piggy bank, and contributed to the stationary collection boxes during the Grand Finale at the CSR WUM.

This would not have been possible without them

Although the result is not what matters most in charity initiatives, we managed to surpass last year’s collection by as much as PLN 16,000. This was possible thanks to the extraordinary commitment of many people. We would therefore like to sincerely thank our donors, the coordinators of the “WUM community for WOŚP” campaign, the volunteers who helped run our fundraising team, the organizers of numerous attractions at CSR WUM, the members of the basketball and triathlon teams, and everyone who donated items for the auctions.

What will the collected funds be used for?

It is not yet known exactly how much was raised during the entire 34th Grand Finale of the Great Orchestra of Christmas Charity, as auctions continued until February 16. However, it is already known that the total will exceed PLN 183 million. This is very encouraging news because this year’s finale focused on improving the diagnosis and treatment of gastrointestinal diseases in children. The funds raised will be used to purchase equipment to support hospital departments specializing in pediatric gastroenterology.
Children’s Clinical Hospital of the WUM University Clinical Center (UCK WUM), including the Chair and Department of Pediatric Gastroenterology, Nutrition and Pediatrics as well as the Chair and Department of Pediatrics.
