"Golden Otis" Trust Award for Mariusz Wyleżoł, MD, PhD

Mariusz Wylezol, MD, PhD, works at the 2nd Department of General, Vascular, and Oncological Surgery of the Medical University of Warsaw and is also the head of the Warsaw Center for Medical and Surgical Treatment of Obesity at Czerniakowski Hospital in Warsaw. He received the statuette for popularizing awareness of obesity as a disease that can and should be treated.

The "Golden Otis" Trust Award is presented to the outstanding physicians, pharmacists, journalists, patient organizations and pharmaceutical companies. As its creators add - it is "an award with a mission, recognizing and supporting those areas of health care that have been overlooked by policy makers." The plebiscite has been organized since 2004 by the Golden Otis Trust Award Institute in cooperation with "Świat Lekarza" magazine and the following portals: pacjenci.pl, nazdrowie.pl, zlotyotis.pl, swiatlekarza.pl and medycynawpolsce.pl, as well as professional health care organizations in Poland.
