Advancing clinical research skills

The program focuses on clinical research. It enables participants to acquire skills at all stages of the research process – from applying analytical techniques in epidemiology and biostatistics to study design and preparing high-quality scientific publications. Moreover, as emphasized by ABM, the program contributes to the development of modern, evidence-based medicine in Poland.

As part of the program, Polish scientists attended in-person workshops held in Warsaw. They also participated in a series of webinars conducted by experts from Harvard Medical School. The webinars included lectures, practical exercises, and preparation of final projects. From November 17 to 20, participants attended the final workshops in Boston, where the official program closing took place. Ireneusz Staroń, Deputy President for Research Funding at the Medical Research Agency, congratulated the participants by saying:

“Your extraordinary commitment and dedication affect not only yourselves but the entire Medical Research Agency. I believe this is just the beginning of cooperation with Harvard Medical School, which can result in truly important projects in biomedicine. Those projects place patients at the center of attention, which has tremendous value both for them and for developing scientists. Congratulations, be proud of what you have achieved – we are proud of you today.”
