The First Lady visited the Department of Pregnancy Pathology and the Department of Gynecological Oncology, where she spoke with the nurses and midwives working there. She emphasized her great appreciation for the unique role that nurses and midwives play, as well as for their daily dedication, empathy, and professionalism.
She then met with representatives of the hospital management and clinical leadership. The hosts of the visit were: Anastazja Więckiewicz, acting director of Karowa Hospital; Robert Jarzębski, deputy director for medical affairs; Marzena Sienicka, deputy director for nursing; Dr. hab. Justyna Teliga-Czajkowska, vice dean for midwifery at the Faculty of Health Sciences at WUM; Dr. hab. Jacek Sieńko, vice dean for student affairs of the English Division of the Faculty of Medicine at WUM; Prof. Renata Bokiniec, head of the Neonatal and Intensive Care Department at WUM; Prof. Krzysztof Czajkowski, head of the 2nd Department and Clinic of Obstetrics and Gynecology at WUM; and Prof. Roman Smolarczyk, head of the Clinic of Gynecological Endocrinology at WUM.
