UCK WUM receives funding to modernize two helipads

The helipad at the Emergency Department of the Children’s Clinical Hospital and the one at the Emergency Department of the Infant Jesus Clinical Hospital will be modernized. UCK received 8 million PLN in funding for both projects.

The funding is provided by the Medical Fund. UCK obtained the funding through a competition for the modernization of helipads at hospital emergency departments (EDs). Two projects submitted by UCK WUM were included on the ranking list and approved for funding:

  • Modernization of the helipad at the Emergency Department of the Children’s Clinical Hospital of UCK WUM in Warsaw.
  • Modernization of the helipad at the Emergency Department of the Infant Jesus Clinical Hospital of UCK WUM in Warsaw.

The investments are valued at over 10 million PLN, with 8 million PLN provided by the Medical Fund.
Both modernizations will bring the helipads into compliance with current safety and operational standards for EDs, which will improve the efficiency of the Air Ambulance Service and increase patient safety in life-threatening emergencies. This is especially important for the helipad at the Children’s Clinical Hospital, as it serves as the only Pediatric Trauma Center in the Mazovian Voivodeship.
