Success of a Faculty of Health Sciences student in a grant program

Joanna Romaniuk received a grant and presented her MyMidwife project during the final gala of the Laboratory of Ideas program.

The Laboratory of Ideas Grant Program began in January this year and has consisted of seven editions. In the fifth edition, Joanna Romaniuk, a student of the Faculty of Health Sciences and a member of the Student Midwifery Research Club, received the highest score from the competition committee. Her application, called MyMidwife, allows patients to schedule appointments with midwives. Not only did the project receive a grant, but it was also among the seven presented during the Final Gala as these projects had received the highest scores from all seven editions.

In total, 88 projects were submitted to the Laboratory of Ideas, of which 24 received grants and one received a special distinction. The initiative engaged 71 students and 17 doctoral candidates, representing 28 student research clubs from the University of Warsaw and the Medical University of Warsaw.

The Laboratory of Ideas was organized by the University of Warsaw Incubator. Students of the Medical University of Warsaw can participate in Incubator programs thanks to a cooperation agreement between the two universities.
