Students awarded for scientific activity

This year, 10 people received the Rector’s Awards for preparing outstanding scientific papers or for contributing to their preparation.

The 1st-degree individual award was granted to Przemysław Kasiak for a series of publications on athletes’ performance.

The 2nd-degree individual awards were granted to:

  • Jaromir Tomasik for his work in the field of hematology;
  • Maria Żmijewska for the paper “Retinal Microcirculation Measurements in Response to Endurance Exercises Analysed by Adaptive Optics Retinal Camera”.

The 3rd-degree individual awards were granted to:

  • Igor Jaszczyszyn for the paper “Large-scale data mining of four billion human antibody variable regions reveals convergence between therapeutic and natural antibodies that constrains search space for biologics drug discovery”;
  • Maja Owe-Larsson for the series of publications in neuropharmacology;
  • Grzegorz Procyk for his work in the field of cardiology;
  • Karol Sadowski for his work in the fields of hematology and neurology;
  • Jakub Zimodro for his work in the field of cardiology.

The 2nd-degree team award was granted to Mateusz Gotowiec and Marta Wojtkiewcz for the paper “Pre-Incisional and Multiple Intradermal Injection of N-Acetylcysteine Slightly Improves Incisional Wound Healing in an Animal Model”.
