Researchers from the Medical University of Warsaw are once again among the world's top scientists

The Research.com rankings highlight researchers who have had a significant impact on the advancement of global science. The fifth/latest edition of the rankings was based on comprehensive data sources and included over 166,000 researchers. The rankings cover 25 fields, and researchers affiliated with our university were highly ranked in three key fields: biology and biochemistry, medicine, and microbiology.

The ranking position is based on the researcher’s D-index (Discipline H-index), which includes only publications and citation counts for the discipline in question, as well as the researcher’s awards and achievements in specific fields. Bibliometric data for the ranking was obtained primarily from OpenAlex and CrossRef - two of the best-known and most respected databases in the scientific community. Additional data sources were also used to ensure the accuracy and detail of the evaluated profiles. Data for calculating the indicators was collected on January 12, 2026.
