Rector’s Announcement of WUM

Dear Sir or Madam, Members of Academic Community at WUM, at the request of Prof. Agnieszka Cudnoch-Jędrzejewska’s Representative, I hereby publish information regarding the current legal status of matters concerning Professor Cudnoch-Jędrzejewska, which originated during the WUM Rector election period in 2024.

On 10 January 2025, a settlement agreement was concluded between Prof. Agnieszka Cudnoch-Jędrzejewska and the Medical University of Warsaw (WUM),represented by the Rector of WUM, Prof. Rafał Krenke, concerning court proceedings initiated by the Professor against WUM.

At the same time, I would like to inform you that in accordance with court rulings, Prof. Agnieszka Cudnoch-Jędrzejewska was not found to have engaged in workplace harassment (mobbing) or to have violated employee rights. The Professor did not lose her right to run as a candidate and fulfilled the formal requirements for candidacy in the 2024 WUM Rector elections, and also her membership in the University Senate during that period did not expire. The disciplinary penalty of reprimand on the Professor by the then Rector of WUM, Prof. Zbigniew Gaciong, has been revoked.

The publication of this announcement is intended to present the academic community with the current status of the matter following the conclusion of the proceedings and to ensure transparent communication by the University regarding matters of significance to the academic community.
