Prof. Wojciech Feleszko on a Research Fellowship in Boston

Prof. Wojciech Feleszko, from the Department of Pediatric Pulmonology and Allergology at the Central Clinical Hospital of the Medical University of Warsaw (UCK WUM), is conducting research at Massachusetts General Hospital and Harvard Medical School, where he is collaborating with researchers from leading American scientific institutions.

“Together with colleagues from American research institutions, we are investigating how the environment, particularly access to green spaces, affects the biological mechanisms involved in the development of asthma in children,” says Prof. Feleszko. “These are likely to be epigenetic mechanisms.”

For WUM, this collaboration means access to new expertise, scientific contacts, and technologies. It also strengthens the University’s position in international research on the links between health, allergies, and environmental factors affecting children’s health.
