Prof. Dorota Olczak-Kowalczyk as a chairwoman of the Council for the Development of Dentistry

The Council for the Development of Dentistry works under the Minister of Health. It assists and advises him on, among other things, the training of dentists and the rules of their profession.

The Council also includes other representatives of the Faculty of Dental Medicine Dentistry at MUW:

  • Prof. Renata Gorska - national consultant in periodontology,
  • Prof. Agnieszka Mielczarek - national consultant in conservative dentistry with endodontics.

Tasks of the Council

The Council's tasks include proposing solutions and making demands in the area:
•    pre-graduate education in the field of dental medicine;
•    pre-graduate education in other professions applicable to dentistry;
•    postgraduate education of dentists with special emphasis on specialty training and skills aimed at dentists;
•    professional development, including the acquisition of new qualifications, by representatives of professions applicable to dentistry
•    rules for the practice of dentistry and the conduct of medical activities, including, in particular, professional practice;
•    the scope and pricing of publicly funded benefits

Dean Olczak-Kowalczyk also serves as a national consultant in pediatric dentistry.
