Presentation at a forum on technology transfer and collaboration between academia and business

Prof. Marcin Sobczak, prorektor ds. nauki i transferu technologii zabrał głos w panelu dyskusyjnym na temat wyzwań systemu transferu technologii oraz roli uczelni w procesie komercjalizacji wyników badań naukowych. Debata odbyła się w czasie XIX Ogólnopolskiej Konferencji Porozumienia Akademickich Centrów Transferu Technologii (PACTT). W wydarzeniu uczestniczyły także zespół Centrum Transferu Technologii WUM.

The Polish Association of Centers for Technology Transfer is a nationwide network that brings together technology transfer units operating at universities and research institutes in Poland. Participation in the network enables them to systematically exchange good practices, organizational models and tools supporting the processes of intellectual property protection and commercialization of research results. 
The PACTT currently comprises 106 technology transfer units, including the Center for Technology Transfer of our university. 
The PACTT conference is the most important annual event of this network and a space for a broad discussion on the directions of development of the innovation system in Poland. This year's event was held on 23-24 April 2026 in Opole. 
The Vice Rector of the WUM spoke in the panel entitled "Commercialization without myths – what works and what only sounds good?" He was joined in this interesting discussion by Prof. Tomasz Wasilewski from the University of Radom, a member of the advisory team of the Minister of Science for research infrastructure and Agnieszka Staniszewska, the head of the research group on devices and control of OBRUSN drives, Łukasiewicz – PIAP.
