We have signed the Diversity Charter

The Diversity Charter is an international initiative under the auspices of the European Commission. The signatories to the charter are organizations in the public and private sectors striving to create an inclusive workplace and taking action to create and promote diversity. The Charter, on behalf of Prof. Zbigniew Gaciong, Rector of MUW, was signed by Edyta Krzych-Fałta, MD, PhD, Rector’s Representative for University Social Responsibility.

About the Diversity Charter

The Diversity Charter is implemented in 26 European Union countries. On a European scale, it has already been signed by 12,000 employers who employ more than 16 million people. In Poland it has been present since 2012.

The Charter is a commitment to the idea of respecting diversity on the basis of gender, age, race, nationality, among others, and to the implementation of equal treatment policies and strategic diversity management. It is also an educational tool with a series of guidelines for employers and a platform for sharing experiences and cooperation among employers interested in building inclusive organizations.

The initiator and coordinator of the Charter in Poland is the Responsible Business Forum.

Signing of the charter by MUW

Edyta Krzych-Fałta, MD, PhD: - Building an inclusive organization is a process involving many areas. The charter indicates these areas and hints at what actions to take. Signing of the charter by our university is an expression of our readiness to increasingly actively and thoughtfully manage diversity at MUW and create a socially equal organization.
