Our student in the third stage of the Nursing Olympiad

During the third stage of 16th Janina Fetlińska Nursing Olympiad, our university will be represented by Piotr Adamczyk, a third-year nursing student. We'll be rooting for him on May 19!

In the third stage of the Olympiad, Piotr will present the following topic to the jury: "Polymorbidity and an aging population as challenges for nursing care – the coordinated care model."
The Academy of Applied Sciences in Nowy Sącz is responsible for organizing the third stage of the Olympiad.

On April 14, the second stage was held simultaneously at all universities registered for the event. The second stage consisted in performing one of the basic, most universal nursing procedures based on a randomly selected case study. The study concerned one of the fields of nursing, including: surgical nursing, internal nursing, pediatric nursing, and geriatric nursing. The participant was expected to present nursing diagnoses and propose appropriate interventions adequate to the randomly selected clinical case of a patient.

The Olympiad Committee unanimously decided that all participants of the second stage of the event were exempt from the theoretical part of the diploma exam. They were appreciated for carefully preparing for the Olympiad and for demonstrating a high level of knowledge.
