Summer School of Preventive Medicine at the Faculty of Medicine

The Department of Social Medicine and Public Health has received funding from the Polish National Agency for Academic Exchange (NAWA) under the prestigious SPINAKER – Intensive International Education Programs scheme.

The highly rated project entitled "Summer School of Preventive Medicine" received PLN 628,500 and will be implemented in 2025–2026. The program is addressed to medical students from Poland and abroad, with particular emphasis on the countries of Central and Eastern Europe.

The hybrid-format Summer School will offer 150 hours of educational activities, focusing on three key areas:

  • prevention of infectious diseases
  • prevention of non-communicable diseases,
  • communication with patients and within interdisciplinary healthcare teams.


Participants who successfully complete the program and meet the required learning outcomes will receive official micro-credentials issued by the Rector of the Medical University of Warsaw, certifying their competencies in preventive medicine.

The program will be delivered at the state-of-the-art Medical Simulation Center, with active involvement of the experienced teaching staff from our Department.

This is another important step in the internationalization of our educational offer and a contribution to the global promotion of preventive medicine.
