We extend our deepest condolences to the Doctor’s loved ones, and we join his colleagues and anyone who knew and valued him in mourning.
In the face of this unspeakable tragedy, as the community of a medical university, we want to voice our opposition to the growing brutality of social life, manifested by the increasingly common attacks on medics. No acts of aggression, hate or violence against anyone may be accepted or tolerated.
In relation to the tragedy, the Supreme Medical Council and the entire self-government of physicians would like to ask all healthcare professionals and professional self-governments for specific groups of medical professions to commemorate the murdered physician with a minute of silence and a black ribbon attached to their uniforms. In this way, we express our solidarity with the family, loved ones, and colleagues of the deceased, and voice our objection to the aggression towards those who serve patients.
The Supreme Medical Council will also hold a march against hate and aggression, which will take place in Warsaw on 10 May.
Rector of the MUW, Professor Rafał Krenke, with the entire MUW academic community
