Prof. Robert Galązkowski, Vice Dean of the Faculty of Health Sciences, Head of the Department of Emergency Medical Services MUW and Director of the Polish Medical Air Rescue, received the Knight's Cross of the Order of Polonia Restituta, while Dr. Marcin Podgórski of the Department of Emergency Medical Services, Deputy Director of Emergency Medical Services, Organization and Planning , received the Medal for Sacrifice and Courage. Jacek Siewiera, Head of the National Security Bureau, presented the medals on behalf of Polish President Andrzej Duda.
The awards ceremony was held on November 9th. During the ceremony, 29 people were honored, including doctors, paramedics and volunteers involved in medical assistance in Ukraine. - You have demonstrated not only courage, extraordinary skills, professionalism, but, above all, the ability to think about what can be done more, above and beyond the usual duty- Jacek Siewiera said to the honored.
