Description

The conference will be held as part of the project 'openCARDIO - a bank of open scientific data on the diagnosis and treatment of cardiovascular diseases', implemented from the Digital Poland Operational Programme 2014-2020'. Since the last European Society of Cardiology guidelines on pulmonary embolism were published four years ago, there has been tremendous progress in its diagnosis and treatment. During this time, important European and Polish expert documents have been published on interventional treatment of acute pulmonary embolism, balloon patching of thromboembolic pulmonary hypertension and optimal post-embolism care. The November symposium will focus precisely on the latest scientific developments and contemporary challenges in the diagnosis and treatment of acute pulmonary embolism and its sequelae.
