Invitation to webinar series "Supporting mothers in proper nutrition of children in crisis"

The webinars are organized by the Human Milk Bank Foundation together with partners, among which is our university. The goal: to expand the knowledge of medical personnel on the principles of proper nutrition for children whose mothers experience difficulties in the perinatal period. The series starts on February 9. Participation is free of charge.

The Human Milk Bank Foundation promotes breastfeeding and the idea of sharing natural, tested breastmilk in accordance with WHO/UNICEF recommendations by supporting the establishment of human milk banks. The refugee crisis related to the war in Ukraine has particularly affected pregnant women and mothers of young children, and thus posed new challenges to the Polish maternity and lactation care system.

In response to the urgent need to learn about and implement the Infant and Young Child Feeding in Emergency (IYCF-E) guidelines in medical facilities in Poland, the Human Milk Bank Foundation, together with partners: Medical University of Warsaw, FHI 360 and Medius Ltd. are launching a series of webinars titled: "Supporting mothers in proper nutrition of children in crisis."

Participation in the webinar series is free of charge. The webinars will be available in two language versions - Polish and English. After the lectures, we count on your active participation in the discussion. You can receive 2 educational points for participating in each of the 6 trainings (12 educational points for the entire training cycle). The first webinar is on February 9.

Registration for the webinar series takes place on the website: www.zywieniedzieciwkryzysie.medius.com.pl
