Last but not least. Medical analytics and toxicology graduates with diplomas

On Saturday, graduates of medical analytics and toxicology with elements of forensics, who graduated from the Faculty of Pharmacy in the 2021/2022 academic year, took part in a graduation ceremony.

- I hope that your years of study at the Faculty of Pharmacy MUW have prepared you in the best possible way for your responsible professional role as both a laboratory diagnostician and a toxicologist - Piotr Lulinski, MD, PhD, Dean of the Faculty, said to the graduates gathered in the auditorium. And then wished them professional satisfaction, success and prosperity.
The graduates, their families and academic staff were also congratulated by the Rector, Prof. Zbigniew Gaciong. In his speech, he emphasized how important both fields are to the medical world and the role of employees with skills and knowledge in these areas. - I firmly believe that both of these fields are extremely future-oriented - said Prof. Gaciong.

After the occasional speeches, it was time to take the oath and award the diplomas. Graduates vowed, among other things, to serve human life and health according to the best of their knowledge, to counteract suffering, prevent disease and participate in the treatment process, as well as to provide assistance to the underprivileged regardless of their race, religion, nationality, political views and financial status with the sole aim of their welfare.

"Golden Laurel" was awarded to the two students with the highest grade average in their overall studies. They were Paulina Bereza from toxicology and Karina Owczarek from medical analytics. The rector and dean also presented the Gold Badge of the Student Scientific Society to medical analytics graduate - Marcin Śmiarowski. The ceremony, of course, could not miss the voice of the main characters. Marcin Śmiarowski spoke on behalf of the medical analytics graduates: - When we started classes five years ago, many of us had doubts whether this was the right direction to choose, whether I would find myself here, whether this is what I wanted to do. There were moments of doubt. But today we can say that it was worth it (...) And although not everything is perfect, I want you to pursue the profession of laboratory diagnostician with your head held high. And to all of you, I ask you to remember that laboratory diagnostician sounds proud, and that is how it should sound.

Milena Siadura, a graduate of toxicology with elements of forensics, emphasized: - Today marks the end of an important chapter in our lives. The stage that prepared us to enter the society as morally and spiritually formed individuals. This university has developed in us a dogged pursuit of the set goal. This is how our determination is now coming to fruition.
