Two of our academics received nomination acts from the hands of President Andrzej Duda.
During the ceremony at the Presidential Palace, 61 academics and employees of science and art received professorial nominations.
Among the nominees were:
- Joanna Gotlib, head of the Department of Education and Research in Health Sciences MUW received the title of professor of medical and health sciences
- Artur Ludwin for many years associated with the Jagiellonian University in Krakow, since October the head of the 1st Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology MUW received the title of professor of medical and health sciences
The President of the Republic of Poland confers professorships on the basis of a proposal from the Council for Scientific Excellence. The decision is made in the form of a resolution, previously countersigned by the Prime Minister. Individual acts conferring the title on professors are received from the hands of the President.
