The second edition of the MUW Patronage Program has been launched

It will cover three Warsaw high schools. More than 150 students from mathematics, biology and chemistry as well as biology, chemistry and physics classes will have the opportunity to learn about the fascinating world of medicine and health sciences. It will be presented by experts and students of our university.

MUW begins cooperation with Klementyna Hoffmanowa High School No. 9, Władysław IV High School No. 8, and again - with Stefan Batory High School No. 2 with Bilingual Branches. The agreements were signed on November 25 this year. The signatories were: on the part of MUW, Rector Professor Zbigniew Gaciong, and Joanna Kiełbasa, director of Klementyna Hoffmanowa High School, Małgorzata Dąbrowska, director of Władysław IV High School, Barbara Kordas, director of Stefan Batory High School.
The goal of cooperation under the Program is primarily to develop education in medical and health sciences. But also to encourage the most talented students to study at the Medical University of Warsaw. All three schools are at the top of the rankings of Warsaw high schools, as well as among the best high schools in the country. Their students are among those admitted in large numbers to study at our university.

- We are committed to developing a passion for medicine among the young - says Agnieszka Wlazłowska-Pietrzak, head of the University Communication and Promotion Office, which coordinates the Patronage Program. - That's why, first of all, we invite students to a series of lectures, whose speakers will be high-class experts specializing in various fields, including immunology, gastroenterology or cardiac surgery. But also students who can boast of many scientific successes, active in the university's circles and associations. We hope that by sharing their stories, knowledge and experience, they will encourage high school students not only to choose medicine, but also to choose MUW.

Students will also be able to attend some of the open lectures held at MUW and conferences organized by the university. The most active will be invited to participate in additional activities, such as multimedia anatomy lessons at the Museum of the History of Medicine MUW, surgical suturing workshops or a tour of the Medical Simulation Center. At meetings with students, high school students will learn what studying at our university looks like on a daily basis.
