Prof. Kazimierz Niemczyk and Dr. Robert Bartoszewicz from the Department of Otorhinolaryngology, Head and Neck Surgery UCC MUW have performed four middle ear reconstruction surgeries on soldiers wounded in combat in Ukraine. The procedures were performed on September 13 at the department of otorhinolaryngology in Lviv.
Our employees were invited by the management of the local hospital and the head of the department of otorhinolaryngology - Dr. Adrian Onutczak. During the operation, they provided training to the Lviv medical team. MUW specialists are planning further training sessions, both in Lviv and outside, during which lectures will be given and more surgical procedures will be performed on Ukrainian soldiers. In addition, a meeting was scheduled with the management of the Department of Otorhinolaryngology of Lviv University, which has been cooperating with the Department of Otorhinolaryngology, Head and Neck Surgery UCC MUW for many years.
