Silver Crosses of Merit were awarded to: Paweł Łęgosz, MD, PhD, from the Chair and Department of Orthopedics and Locomotor Traumatology UCC MUW, Deputy Director for Treatment at the Lindley location of UCC MUW and Jerzy Tyszkiewicz, MD, PhD, from the Chair and Department of Internal Medicine, Hypertension and Vascular Diseases, UCC MUW. Dariusz Kawecki, MD, PhD, from the Chair and Department of Medical Microbiology, was awarded the Bronze Cross.
The Cross of Merit is awarded to individuals who perform acts beyond the scope of their ordinary duties and bringing significant benefit to the State or citizens. It can also be awarded for: public service, sacrificial assistance and charitable activity. It is awarded by the President of the Republic of Poland.
