Prof. Robert Gałązkowski, Vice Dean of the Faculty of Health Sciences, Director of the Polish Medical Air Rescue, and Dr. Marcin Podgórski from the Department of Emergency Medical Services, Director of the Eastern Region of the Polish Medical Air Rescue, received the Bene Merito honorary badges from the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Zbigniew Rau.
Representatives from our university received medals and diplomas for coordinating and executing medical evacuations. These were extremely demanding missions to bring Polish citizens from Afghanistan, India and Ukraine, among others. Great commitment and dedication was appreciated.
The Bene Merito ("Well Deserved") award was established in 2009. They are awarded by the Minister of Foreign Affairs in recognition of the contribution to activities that strengthen the position of Poland in the international arena. Prof. Galązkowski and Dr. Podgórski were among the seven honored medical service representatives.
