Important positions in IFMSA-Poland for our students

During the April Assembly of IFMSA-Poland Delegates new members of the Main Board and Audit Committee as well as National Coordinators were elected. Among them are Karolina Mikołap and Maciej Mach, MUW students, who are active in the IFMSA-Poland Warsaw Branch. They will start their term of office this October.

Karolina Mikolap will take over as Secretary General of IFMSA-Poland. She will be responsible for, among other things, keeping records, preparing minutes and resolutions, she will also supervise the work of secretaries from the nineteen IFMSA-Poland branches. Currently Karolina works as a secretary of the Warsaw branch. - Her election to the Main Board is the culmination of five years of work in the structures of the Association. Serving in such an important role during my sixth year of study will certainly be a challenge, but I have believed for years that a large number of responsibilities promotes work organization and development. I will be very happy to use my experience in IFMSA-Poland to support its changes and help medical students all over Poland - says Karolina.

Maciej Mach, on the other hand, also a 5th year medical student, was elected to a second term as the National Coordinator for Clinical Practice of Outgoing Students (NEO-Out). His responsibilities will include organizing and coordinating the application process for overseas clinical placements under the Standing Committee on Professional Exchange (SCOPE). He will also deal with collaboration between universities, hospitals and students. - I am extremely pleased that the association has again entrusted me with the role of National Coordinator for Clinical Practice, and I look forward to new challenges and initiatives. Enabling our students to do their dream clinical placements in remote parts of the world is a reward in itself - concludes Maciej.

The Assembly of Delegates is the most important meeting of the IFMSA-Poland members. The three-day event takes place twice a year, in spring and autumn, and gathers 300 representatives of all 19 branches of the association at the same time.
