In addition to Deputy Minister of Health Iryna Mykychak, we also hosted Dr. Roman Pukalyk, director of the Lviv Regional Center for Clinical Diagnostics, and Prof. Andriy Kuzhyk, head of the Department of Pediatric Surgery at the Danylo Halytsky National Medical University of Lviv.
On the part of MUW, the meeting was attended by: rector prof. Zbigniew Gaciong, Prof. Agnieszka Cudnoch-Jędrzejewska, Vice-Rector for Human Resources and Professor Robert Gałązkowski, Vice Dean of the Faculty of Health Sciences.
The talks lasted almost an hour and concerned mainly the current situation of the Medical Universities in Ukraine. They also discussed the strengthening of cooperation on various levels between the Medical University of Warsaw and the Danylo Halytsky National Medical University of Lviv. One of the topics discussed was the Erasmus+ program academic exchange. The possibility of internships for Ukrainian medical staff at MUW clinical hospitals was also discussed.
The meeting was possible thanks to the cooperation that our University has been conducting for many years with Lviv National Medical University, National Medical University in Ivano-Frankivsk and other medical universities in Ukraine.
