MUW students won the second place on the podium and a silver medal in the finals of the Polish Academic Championships of Medical Universities in basketball. Our players confronted the students from the Medical University of Lodz. They scored 41 points against their rivals.
The MUW team consists of: Piotr Dolęga, Andrzej Domański, Szymon Grzegorzewski, Kamil Kosior, Antoni Majecki, Jakub Makowski, Mateusz Mucha, Michał Olejnik, Jan Stępnicki, Stanisław Szleszkowski and Jakub Zajączkowski. Jacek Szczepański is the coach of the team.
In the semifinals the AZS WUM Basketball team had to beat the team from the Medical University of Poznan. They won 46-34.
Polish Championships of Medical Universities is a series of sports competitions designed for students and employees of universities with this profile. They are held in the most popular disciplines, including: basketball, volleyball, beach volleyball, swimming, tennis, athletics. They are organized every year by the Medical University of Lublin.
