The anniversary of the establishment of the 4th Department of Internal Medicine by Prof. Askanas

The tradition of meetings at Powązki Cemetery has continued since the death of Professor Zdzislaw Askanas, the founder and the first head of the 4th Department of Internal Medicine, currently the 1st Chair and Department of Cardiology. Every year on January 17 the employees of the Department together with the invited guests lay flowers on the professor’s grave. This year, despite the snowstorm, they also went to the Powazki and the cemetery in Pyry.
