Our students registered 425 potential bone marrow donors

The 13th edition of the HELPERS' GENERATION project has come to an end. It was attended by 65 universities from all over Poland. Among them, MUW turned out to be the number one - we managed to register the largest number of potential bone marrow donors.

64 volunteers from our university were involved in the action. These were the students from five fields of study: medicine, dental medicine, dental technology, pharmacy and nursing. In early December, DKMS foundation stands appeared on the MUW grounds. For a week, our leaders educated and encouraged students to register as potential bone marrow donors for blood cancer patients. This year's campaign was exceptionally popular. We already have its results. It turned out that our university managed to register as many as 425 potential donors. This is the best score among all participating universities.

Project HELPERS' GENERATION was realized by IFMSA-Poland Warsaw Branch in cooperation with DKMS Foundation.

The next edition will be held in the spring of 2022.
