Ceremonial graduation of medical analytics and DUO OTM students

On October 23, in the presence of top university officials as well as families and loved ones, the pledge was taken by the graduates who completed their studies in medical analytics and DUO OTM in Health Technology Assessment. The graduating students vowed, among other things, to "serve human life and health to the best of our knowledge, to prevent suffering, to prevent diseases and to participate in the healing process, to help people regardless of their race, religion, nationality, political views, or financial status with only their best interests in mind."

The guests were welcomed by the Dean of the Faculty of Pharmacy, Joanna Kolmas, MD, PhD, and then she gave the floor to the Rector of the MUW, Professor Zbigniew Gaciong, who warmly congratulated all the participants of the ceremony. - Today you are completing a very important stage of your life. Earning a diploma, a degree, is a step toward being able to pursue your chosen profession and a step that will be followed by others. This is because in the medical professions, the obligatory education is connected with the entire career path. - said the Rector. - It is not an unpleasant duty, but an intellectual adventure," he added. The Rector also emphasized that the diploma gives the graduates a very good ticket to further professional career, which opens all doors. He also encouraged them to stay connected to the university and wished them fulfillment of their plans and happiness in their personal lives.

Next, the Dean and the Rector presented the Golden Laurels, which are a distinction for outstanding graduates of our university. They were awarded to: Michał Kościółek - a graduate of the DUO OTM in Health Technology Assessment - for an overall average of 5.00 and Natalia Kołakowska - a graduate of medical analytics - for an average of 4.73.
The Vice Dean of the Faculty of Pharmacy, Piotr Luliński, MD, PhD, said - The knowledge, skills and competencies you acquire during your studies will enable you to perform the professional tasks entrusted to you conscientiously and in accordance with best practice. I know that you are very well prepared to take on many challenges ahead in your career. Next, Professor Tomasz Hermanowski, the DUO OTM Project Manager, thanked everyone involved in the implementation of the degree program and emphasized the uniqueness of the education program offered at DUO OTM. He also expressed his belief that the knowledge that the graduates have acquired during their education will allow for further professional development.

On behalf of the Dean's Authorities, the oath was received by the Vice Dean of the Faculty of Pharmacy, Agnieszka Bazylko, PharmD, PhD.

Commemorative speech was also given by Alina Niewiadomska, President of the National Council of Laboratory Diagnosticians as well as by the representatives of the graduates: Sylwia Ziental and Kinga Dziok. Finally, the participants of the ceremony were addressed by Hanna Dąbrowska, Chairwoman of the Student Self-Government Board of the Faculty of Pharmacy. She concluded her remarks with the words: - I hope that by being here today, you are proud of the path you have chosen and the choices you have made. I am sure that the few years spent at MUW were enjoyable and well spent.
