He emphasized that the uniqueness of the midwifery profession is to accompany in the most beautiful and important moments in the life of each person. He noted that - regardless of the circumstances - all medical professions are invariably important to the health and lives of people. That is why it is so important to have an adequate number of highly qualified nurses, midwives and specialists in other areas of medicine.

Prof. Zbigniew Gaciong encouraged the graduates to tie their careers with MUW clinical hospitals and institutions cooperating with our University, as well as to start education at the second degree studies.

A special letter to this year's midwifery graduates was sent by the Mazovian Voivode Konstanty Radziwill.

"Putting on the cap is the culmination of the effort put into gaining the qualifications necessary to care for the sick and a symbolic act of being accepted as a midwife. You are at the beginning of a difficult professional path, which involves taking responsibility for the health and life of the patient. Meeting this challenge requires not only thorough preparation, but also sensitivity to other people's suffering, empathy, patience and understanding. In this necessity of personal sacrifice is expressed the humanistic dimension of the midwife's work" - wrote the Mazovian Voivode in a letter read by the Director Tomasz Slawatyniec.

The participants of the ceremony were also addressed by the President of the Supreme Council of Nurses and Midwives Zofia Małas, Jeannette Kalyta - a coordinating midwife of the Obstetrics Ward at Medicover Hospital, and the Vice Dean for Midwifery Justyna Teliga-Czajkowska, MD, PhD, who said, among other things:
