Young Cardiologist from MUW Selected for the Servier Advanced Cardiovascular School (SACVS) Program

Dr. Agnieszka Kapłon-Cieślicka, MD, PhD, from the 1st Chair and Department of Cardiology at the Medical University of Warsaw (MUW) has been selected for the two-year training program for young cardiologists from member countries of the European Society of Cardiology (ESC). The program is in the form of an educational grant supported by Servier pharmaceutical company.

The Servier Advanced Cardiovascular School (SACVS) program is led by Prof. P. E. Vardas - ESC Past President and seeks candidates with a special interest in either interventional cardiology or heart failure. Dr. Kapłon-Cieślicka, MD, PhD, was selected among sixteen young cardiologists from ESC member states. She will be pursuing her professional development in treating heart failure.

Selection for the SACVS program is based on the candidate’s scientific achievements, publications and professional career development.  Candidates also needed to present a letter of recommendation from a recognized cardiologist. Dr. Kapłon-Cieślicka, MD, PhD, was recommended by the reputable MUW cardiologist, Prof. Krzysztof J. Filipiak from the 1st Chair and Department of Cardiology.
