Message No 13 Deputy Rector for Student Affairs and Education of April 6, 2020

Due to the cases of unauthorized copying and dissemination by the Students of the Medical University of Warsaw of the didactic materials for distance learning conducted by the WUM, including the image of lecturers, in particular by recording or taking pictures of lectures or seminars  posted on the platforms or tools like Teams, Zoom etc. I would like to inform you that all materials posted on the platform www.e-learning.wum.edu.pl  as well as online lectures or seminars are protected by law on the basis of the Act on Copyright and Neighboring Rights, and the use of these materials by the Student is for personal use only.

Materials on the platform www.e-learning.wum.edu.pl, as well as lectures and seminars conducted on-line by MUW employees using platforms or tools such as Teams, Zoom etc. are made available only for teaching and education purposes implemented by the Medical University of Warsaw. It is forbidden to further disseminate, copy, record, photograph or modify them under pain of liability. 

Student of the Medical University of Warsaw using materials available on the platform www.e-learning.wum.edu.pl or participating in on-line lectures or seminars is obliged to use these materials, lectures or seminars in accordance with applicable law and with full respect of personal rights of the authors.

Students disseminating, copying or modifying didactic materials, including disseminating the lecturer's image without prior consent, are subject to disciplinary liability under the provisions of the Act on Higher Education and Science, as well as civil or criminal liability under the Act on Copyright and Neighboring Rights. 

I call for the use of materials available for e-learning classes and distance teaching tools only in accordance with the provisions of applicable law and respect for the personal rights of the authors, and to immediately stop practices violating these principles.
