Noble Parcels have been sent

The parcels were prepared by students, units and individuals, in smaller and larger groups. Packing the parcels, that were made together with students, took place on Friday. The Rector and Vice Rectors also provided assistance. The packaged gifts have already made their way to the warehouses of the Noble Parcel (Szlachetnej Paczki) and will be presented to needy families this week.

The collection for the Noble Parcel at our university is organized and coordinated every year by students from the IFMSA-Poland Warsaw Branch, the Student Government and the Warsaw branch of the Polish Pharmacy Students' Association. University authorities and employees also join the campaign.

This time we supported Mrs. Marzena, who is struggling with epilepsy and eye disease, and Mrs. Natalia with her husband and their disabled daughter.

- Together we want to show support for those struggling with loneliness, illness or difficult financial situations - stresses Alicja Danieluk of the MUW Student Government. She adds: - The parcels include not only necessities or necessary household items, but also dream gifts, which every one of us is waiting for during this period. In this way, we can make the Christmas time beautiful. And also full of selfless help, which for these families is really of great importance.

Packing together

The packing took place on December 15 at the headquarters of the student organizations at Oczki Street. Students were assisted by, among others, Prof. Zbigniew Gaciong, the Rector and Vice Rectors Prof. Piotr Pruszczyk and Prof. Marek Kuch, as well as university employees.

Then, due to the help of the university's drivers, they all made their way to the designated warehouses of the Noble Parcel.

The Noble Parcel is one of the largest social programs in Poland. It has been in operation since 2001. Volunteers of the Nobel Parcel reach out to families in need throughout Poland, learn about their difficulties and decide on the best form of assistance. Donors prepare individual assistance based on the description of the Volunteer.
This year, 17,012 families in need will receive the Nobel parcel . That's more than 1,500 more families than last year.

Everyone from MUW who decided to join the collection deserves a big thank you.
