New Day Rehabilitation Department at the Children's Clinical Hospital

The Day Rehabilitation Department opened on October 26 at the Children's Clinical Hospital UCC MUW, it will serve children and young patients discharged from the clinical departments of the CCH who need to continue rehabilitation or have been referred for it.

The ribbon cutting was performed by Prof. Zbigniew Gaciong, Rector of WUM, Anna Łukasik, Director of UCC MUW, Adam Przybyłkowski, MD, PhD, Vice Director for Treatment at the Banacha location, Prof. Witold Rongies, Head of the Rehabilitation Department UCC MUW, and his deputy Justyna Konopczyńska-Brodzik, MA.

About the Day Rehabilitation Department

Children's Clinical Hospital UCC MUW has long had an experienced team of physiotherapists working in clinical wards. With the opening of the Day Rehabilitation Department, patients discharged from the wards can continue their rehabilitation at the department, which will ensure the best therapeutic results. 
The department rehabilitates pediatric patients of all ages with a variety of conditions including orthopedic conditions, muscle tone disorders, genetic diseases, postural defects, and patients after surgery. The team of physiotherapists working there is ready to help any patient who needs support. 
The Day Rehabilitation Department plans to expand its activities and provide comprehensive rehabilitation care to an even larger group of children and adolescents in the future.
